About
I don't draw people. I draw feelings.

He begins without knowing where it ends.
The words and the drawing arrive together, while the charcoal is still on the paper — never before. That is why the faces are often only half resolved. He does not draw people; he draws what lies beneath them. Closeness, longing, everything that is hard to say out loud.
The rest is left to you. What you find in a work is not necessarily what the next person finds — and that is the point.
Bjørn Rune Ingemundsen has drawn for as long as he can remember. He grew up in Nærbø on the south-west coast of Norway, studied art and design at upper secondary school, and found charcoal in 2021. His first exhibitions came two years later. Since then, work has gone to Norway, Sweden, Finland and Scotland.
Every work is an original. There are no prints, and there never will be.
